#1st5pages Writing Workshop Opens Saturday & We Have Mentor News!

Our April workshop will open for submissions on Saturday, April 6th at noon, EST. In addition to our wonderful permanent mentors, we have Karly Caserza of Fuse Literary as our agent mentor and Erin Vollick as our guest author mentor!

The workshop is designed to help writers struggling to find the right opening for their novel or for those looking to perfect the all important first five pages before submitting for publication. Why the first five pages? Because if these aren't perfect, no agent, editor, or reader will continue reading to find out how great the rest of your story really is! Click here to get the rules.

Also - we have some mentor news! We're thrilled to announce that Elizabeth Dawson is taking over as workshop coordinator! Elizabeth is a writer who was a past participant in the workshop. I know she's going to do a great job! I'll be staying on as a permanent mentor.

Our mentors have been busy, as usual! I'm so excited for WOLFHUNTER RIVER, the third book in the super suspenseful Stillhouse Lake series by Rachel Caine, which comes out April 23, 2019!

Christina June's new contemporary YA, NO PLACE LIKE HERE, inspired by Hansel & Gretel and set at a wilderness retreat center, releases May 21! I can't wait!

And a big congratulations to Lisa Gail Green, whose new YA fantasy just came out - WINGING IT!

Happy Reading, Writing, and Revising!

Erin
